Here are 2 easy and effective recipes to make your own hand sanitizers at home with simple ingredients and powerful essential oils to keep you and your family safe.

Hand Sanitizing Gel

Ingredients

½ oz of Aloe vera gel - food grade is best.

½ oz of rubbing alcohol or vodka

1oz PET plastic bottle with cap

Essential Oils

4 drops of Lemon

4 drops Tea tree

2 drops Lavender

2 drops Mandarin

 Directions

  1. Pour aloe vera gel and vodka or alcohol in plastic bottle
  2. Add your essential oils to the bottle
  3. Add cap to bottle and shake well to mix contents
  4. Enjoy!!

 

Hand Sanitizing Spray

Ingredients

1 oz of distilled water or witch hazel

1 oz of rubbing alcohol or vodka

2oz plastic bottle with sprayer

Essential Oils

4 drops of Lemon

4 drops Protekt (a blend of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary, orange)

2 drops Lavender

 

Directions

  1. Pour water/witch hazel and vodka or alcohol in plastic bottle
  2. Add your essential oils to the bottle
  3. Add sprayer to bottle and shake really well to mix contents

Add a drop or 2 in a bowl of water, use a washcloth to carefully rub over your neck, back of neck, shoulders and head or if you have sensitive skin, you can dilute 1-3 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil and apply.

  • Are your feet tired from walking in those heels? Well then this is a must do. Soak your feet in a peppermint foot bath with 2 drops of peppermint and 2 tablespoons of Epson salt.
  • Do you have sinus congestion, allergies or running a cold? Peppermint is your new friend. Add a drop to the palms of your hands, rub together and inhale deeply. Peppermint is a natural decongestant and will help relief congested sinuses. You can also add 3-6 drops in your diffuser to help relieve congestion.
